Attendance of students is marked by each faculty during the class and during the labs.
Attendance is also monitored by taking biometry of students.
• The two reports are cumulatively evaluated every month ending and the percentages of attendance on whole, in individual subject are calculated.
• The reports are then sent to the concerned mentors for counseling the irregular students.
• As a part of continuous evaluation process, the students are individually asked questions on the topic completed in the previous class before the topic of that class is started to ascertain their understanding and remembrance of the previous topic.
• Group discussions are also conducted with the aim of improving performance of students.
• Continuous evaluation process is further carried out by conducting written slip tests after completion of each topic.
• The evaluation of slip tests is done within no time and the students are counseled on their strengths and weaknesses, they are guided about way to improve their strengths and overcome the weakness.
• Assignments on random topics from the syllabus are assigned to individual students from each unit, following Blooms taxonomy, to make sure that all the course outcomes are attained and the students have the best knowledge on each topic.
• Viva is conducted in the practical sessions, during the experiment, during observation correction (on the experiment done in the lab presently) as well as record correction (on the experiment done in the previous lab).
• Sessional examinations for both theory and practical are conducted twice per semester and the evaluation marks are noted for sending to the University as internal assessment marks.
• After each class test and sessional examination, the subject in charge discusses the question paper and the answering mode to the students; making sure the mistakes will not be repeated in the future while they attend their end semester examinations.
• For improving the academic performance of weak students, tutorials are scheduled focusing on revising the finished syllabus.
• Faculty also guides the students on time management during the examinations, and the points to be focused while attempting the examinations, etc.
• Mentors regularly communicate with parents of weak and irregular students, giving those updates on their child’s performance and guiding them on how to help their child to overcome those difficulties during the students’ study at home.
Students are asked to fill the feedback forms regularly which focuses on the performance of faculty (theory and practical teaching), the facilities provided by the institution, any other problems they face, etc.
• The faculty will be informed about their performance and students’ expectations and are given an opportunity to improve their teaching. The same is evaluated in the next feedback session. The institution takes into consideration the requirements of students and strives its best to rectify, improvise and implement the same.
• Due to the COVID pandemic and lockdown, college opted for online classes’ conduction and continuous evaluation is continued even through online platforms.
